Two pieces of information make the first conversation much more useful:
- Your water meter reading, and whether the low-flow indicator is turning with every fixture and appliance off.
- Whether the meter still turns with the main house shut-off valve closed: that single answer tells us whether we are looking inside the house or out at the buried service line.
Why we ask you to call rather than fill in a form
A leak is a diagnostic problem, and two minutes on the phone settles things a form never will. We can usually tell you from your answers whether you are looking at a toilet flapper, an irrigation valve, a buried service line or something under the slab, and occasionally we can tell you it is something you can fix yourself in ten minutes without paying anybody.
A form cannot ask the follow-up question. So there is no form on this site. Call us.

What to have ready when you call
None of this is essential. Call anyway. But if you have two minutes first, these four answers cut the visit down considerably.
- Your water meter reading, and whether the low-flow indicator is turning with every fixture and appliance switched off. Any movement confirms a leak.
- Whether it still turns with the main house shut-off closed. This one answer tells us whether to look inside the house or out at the buried service line.
- What you are actually seeing or hearing: running water with everything off, a warm patch on the floor, damp carpet, a soggy strip of lawn, a bill that jumped.
- Roughly when the house was built, and whether it is on a slab, a crawlspace or a basement. That indicates the likely pipe material before we arrive.
Not urgent? Close your main shut-off valve between uses to stop the loss and the bill accruing, then call during normal hours rather than paying an emergency rate.
